As a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses you are automatically provided with professional liability coverage. Included in your annual membership, the association provides a professional liability policy with $2,000,000 per claim limit and an annual program aggregate of $20,000,000. The program covers the LPN for faults, errors, omisssions and negligence for services rendered while acting within their scope and duties.  

If a LPN is concerned about becoming involved in a possible legal issue arising out of the performance of their normal duties as a LPN, the SALPN will refer him/her to the insurance provider, ENCON Group Inc.  

Each LPN is advised to contact ENCON Group Inc. immediately if they become aware of a legal issue in which they maybecome involved.
